Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug (ATOD) prevention programs work in conjunction with a variety of other city, community and school sponsored programs. Workscope includes sustaining and working with youth development programs, parenting programs, educational campaigns, police enforcement operations, and environmental policies.

The Parent Project is a 10-week parenting class, which gives parents concrete, concise tools to change any negative or unwanted behavior. Sponsored by the Vacaville Police department, Parents will be given the tools to improve school attendance and performance, understand and communicate with children, provide structure and supervision, and utilize love and affection. Classes are offered in both English and Spanish. Parent Project, Jr., a similar successful program, provides information to parents of children ages 6-10.
