Water System Master Plan
The City of Vacaville Water System Master Plan has been updated following the City's 2015 General Plan Update. The plan is in draft form until it can be approved by City Council. The Master Plan presents a model of the City's water system and identifies capital improvements needed to ensure the long-term functionality of the water system as planned development occurs.
Urban Water Management Plan
The City of Vacaville is required by the California Department of Water Resources to produce an Urban Water Management Plan comparing water supplies available to the City with projected water demands for the future, and to discuss measures the City has implemented to ensure a safe and reliable water supply to its citizens. This report is updated every five years.
Urban Water Shortage Contingency Plan
The Urban Water Shortage Contingency Plan is an amendment to the Urban Water Management Plan, and was most recently revised in August 2014. The plan is required by California Water Code and outlines progressive steps to be taken to ensure adequate water supply during drought years or other water shortage emergencies.
