This page will serve as an information hub during  any Public Safety Power Shutoff events with news, information and resources related to the public safety power outage. It will be continually updated during any events.

Status Update as of: October 26, 2019, 9 p.m.

With the power shut off in some portions of our city, we have extra police on patrol in neighborhoods that have lost power. The Fire Department is also staging extra crews during the wind event for rapid wildfire response if necessary.

PG&E has confirmed that the Public Safety Power Shutoff will begin at 6 p.m. in Solano County. The latest update from Alert Solano is available online. 

The PG&E customer service center in Vacaville will now be at Lowe's at 1751 E. Monte Vista.

Solano County is in Phase 2 of the Public Safety Power Shutoff that will begin this afternoon. 

PG&E will open a customer resource center in Vacaville at the Mission Church at 6391 Leisure Town Rd. It will open on Sunday at 8 a.m to 8 p.m.

PG&E has notified that it may put another Public Safety Power Shutdown into effect this weekend given the wind and fire danger events forecast. 

Important Power Outage Safety Measures

Traffic safety is critical these events. Many traffic signals may have been shut off or are flashing. Motorists should treat these as four-way stop signs and proceed very carefully.

Do not call 9-1-1 if you have a non-emergency concern or question. The non-emergency phone number is (707) 449-5200. For other general questions, please call (707) 449-5100. 

The Fire Department will be busy during this high fire risk period. The Police Department will have extra patrols throughout the darkened portions of the City at night during the outage. 

The City's water supply and treatment facility does not anticipate any issues during the power outage. However, water conservation is essential. Please do not run irrigation and limit water use when possible.

PG&E will again establish a service center in Vacaville at the Mission Church, located at 6391 Leisure Town Road. It is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and has water, restrooms and power for people to charge their mobile devices.
