January 23, 2020 workshop (6:00 p.m., McBride Senior Center) will include a presentation of key strategies from the draft plan, which will be available for public comment in February. This plan will be part of the Downtown Specific Plan. Come find out more and influence how downtown evolves!
This plan is to increase public awareness and opportunities to be involved in important land use decisions.
In an effort to increase the rental housing stock in the state new California legislation (SB 13, AB68, AB587, AB881, AB670, AB671) limits the regulations and fees associated with the construction of new Accessory Dwelling Units. New policies go into effect January 2020.
The City is preparing two plans for Downtown - the Downtown Specific Plan and the Downtown Connectivity and Streetscape Design Plan. The goals include making Downtown more lively by increasing appealing uses and making it easier and more pleasant to get around Downtown on foot and by bike.
The City is working on a comprehensive update to the Land Use and Development Code. Come to an Open House from 5pm-6pm on December 17th in Conference Room A/B at City Hall to learn where the project is now, and stay for a workshop with Planning Commission at 7pm
