City activates Senior Helpline

Variety of services being offered for Vacaville seniors

The City of Vacaville has set up a help hotline to assist seniors who are currently in self-quarantine because of COVID-19 – the Senior Helpline.

“These are some of the most vulnerable members of our community,” Mayor Ron Rowlett said. “We need to make sure our seniors are safe and secure. I know our staff and community want to do everything they can to help, and I thank you all in advance for your assistance during these difficult times.”

Services being offered include: home check-ups; pick-up and drop-off of essential supplies; transportation for essential services; and daily or weekly phone calls.

The phone bank is manned from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m., Monday through Friday and 9am-2pm on Saturdays. To get in touch with someone, call 449-5100 or email seniorhelp@cityofvacaville.com. Voicemail and email are available after hours.

The City of Vacaville is also looking for volunteers to assist with the tasks listed above. If you are currently a part of a larger volunteer community and have been through the Livescan process, please contact us.
