City of Vacaville Website Community Calendar Policy
GENERAL:
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that the City of Vacaville Community Calendar is maintained as non-public forum for the exclusive purpose of providing events and scheduling information of general public interest.
The Community Calendar is intended to include events that are open to the general public and support the concept of community involvement in Vacaville. Regional events throughout Solano County that are open to the public may also be included on the calendar.
GOVERNANCE:
You may submit an event on-line to be included on the Community Calendar that will be reviewed by the Community Services Department, Events coordinator.
Events submitted will be reviewed each Tuesday and Friday except on official holidays, in which case the events will be reviewed the next business day. The City reserves the right to select which events are included and the right to modify the text if necessary as determined by the Events coordinator.
Submitted events should be limited to three (3) sentences or less. The event description should only include factual information without promotional or influential comments (for example "the biggest event this year, don't miss it!")
