A high pressure system is bringing dangerous heat to the Bay Area and elevating fire concerns through Sunday. Temperatures are expected to be in the 100s. It is important to look after those whose health may be affected by the heat wave, particularly children, older adults and pets. Below are helpful tips on staying cool from the National Weather Service:
Never leave children or pets alone in a parked car.
Drink more water than usual.
Limit outdoor strenuous activities during the hottest time of the day.
Wear light colored clothing and a hat.
Seek air-conditioned buildings.

The Vacaville City Council adopted an ordinance this year that regulates, when, where and in what manner money and other donations may be solicited from members of the public. These regulations are for the benefit of both the individuals soliciting as well as the people being solicited.
