There are a lot of things to see and do at the Ulatis Cultural Library the week of July 17.  

Kids’ Outdoor Art and Play Day at Vacaville Cultural Center Library

Vacaville Cultural Center Library continues to celebrate the 2018 Summer Reading Challenge with a special outdoor art and play day for children of all ages. Plenty of outdoor games and art activities will be available for kids and families to enjoy in the courtyard just outside the library. The Kids’ Outdoor Art and Play Day will be on Tuesday, July 17 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Teen DIY Program: T-Shirt Designing

Teen DIY is a series of programs geared specifically for teens to use their creative skills to make unique projects. The project for this month is: t-shirt designing. Use tie dye or fabric paints to make your own customized t-shirt designing. The program will be on Wednesday, July 18 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Vacaville Cultural Center Library. Teens/tweens age 12 and up are welcome to attend. All materials will be provided. 

Space is limited so signups are required. Teens interested in attending may come to the library’s Information Desk to sign up, call the library at 1-866-57-ASKUS, or sign up online at the library website

Master Gardeners Workshop at Vacaville Cultural Center Library

The Master Gardeners will be having a gardening workshop at Vacaville Cultural Center Library on Thursday, July 19 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The topic for this month is: tillandsia. Learn tips and tricks from Master Gardener Launa Herrmann regarding tillandsia—plants that require no soil and very little work to grow. Adults of all skill levels in gardening are invited to attend.

Gadget Clinic at Vacaville Cultural Center Library

Anyone needing help with their digital device can bring it to the Gadget Clinic at the Vacaville Cultural Center Library on Fridays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The next Gadget Clinic will be on July 20. A tech-savvy volunteer will be available to help with almost any portable device, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and much more. No appointments are necessary; drop-in assistance will be provided by the volunteer
