Town Square Library has many summer events

Italian ice, Steampunk Summer, magic and more

Summer with Rita’s Italian Ice at 6:30pm, on Thursday, June 1 at the Vacaville Town Square Library, 1 Town Square Place.

We’ll explore and sample scrumptious summer Italian ice flavors, while at the same time learning about Rita’s history.

For ages 18 and up, and reservations are required by Friday, May 19. Sign-up at the library’s Information Desk.

This program is provided free, thanks to the Vacaville Friends of the Library. 

Steampunk Workshop with author Stephanie Kato, at 6:00pm on Thursday, June 15, at the Vacaville Town Square Library, 1 Town Square Place. 

The first of our “Steampunk Summer Series” programs is a special presentation with author, Stephanie Kato. She’ll discuss her series, The Post-Apocalyptic Society, while at the same time giving insight into the Steampunk world.

All are welcome, and dress in your best Steampunk costume.

Edible BookFest Contest, at 5:30pm on Tuesday, June 20, at the Vacaville Town Square Library, 1 Town Square Place. 

Join the challenge and create an edible interpretation of a book’s title or theme.

The contest is open to adults, ages 18 and up, and registration forms with contest rules can be picked up at the Vacaville Town Square Library.

Contestants must register no later than Saturday, June 17, 2017.

The public is welcome to view and vote on contestants’ creations on Tuesday, June 20, from 5:30pm to 8:00pm, at the Vacaville Town Square     Library, 1 Town Square Place.

By popular vote, there will be a prize awarded to the first, second, and third place winners.

This event is free, thanks to the Vacaville Friends of the Library.

Timothy James, a man of mystery at 6:00pm, on Thursday, June 22 at the Vacaville Town Square Library, 1 Town Square Place.

Timothy James, a master of magic, will entertain us with mind twisting illusions at the Vacaville Town Square Library. His fascinating performance will leave you amazed.

For ages 16 and up, and no reservations are required.

This program is provided free, thanks to the Vacaville Friends of the Library. F

The alluring sounds of, Unwoman at 6:30pm, on Thursday, June 29 at the Vacaville Town Square Library, 1 Town Square Place.

As part of our “Steampunk Summer Series”, San Francisco-based cellist-singer-songwriter, Unwoman, will dazzle us with her unique musical mix of tantalizing vocals and electronic beats.

All are welcome, and dress in your best Steampunk costume.
